The vibrant central street of Passig des Born is the best place to go for a little retail therapy and is home to many international designer stores. For a more traditional experience, the city is famous for its colourful markets, offering all manner of goods and delicacies.

Going out...

Palma's nightlife is both sophisticated and seriosuly happening, with a spicy Spanish vibe. The city is home to some of the island's biggest clubs including the Balearic favourite of Pacha and legendary Tito's. There is dazzling array of traditional bars, cocktail lounges, tapas bars and music venues, so whatever kind of night you fancy, you'll find Palma is very well equipped.

Beaches...

If you want to enjoy a little down time on the beach on your Palma holiday, the best places to go are the relaxed resorts of C'an Pastilla and Cala Mayor, east and west of the city respectably. Both of which are home to sublime beach expanses and shallow, warm Balearic waters, as well as first class amenities.

For a livelier beach experience, the famously hedonistic resort of Magaluf is a top choice, as is nearby Palma Nova, which is popular with families. There is a lot going on in these resorts, with masses of activities for all ages, water parks for kids and countless bars and clubs for groups of friends to enjoy.
