Balearics holidays

Cast adrift off mainland Spain, this idyllic cluster of islands represents everything that is so loved about the Mediterranean..

The Balearic Islands are breathtakingly beautiful, green and lush, bathed in radiant sunshine and blessed with magnificent sweeping beaches. Holidays to the Balearics are perfect for families looking for a memorable beach break and romantic escapes for couples. Of course, they're unbeatable for groups of friends looking to enjoy the world-class nightlife of the Med.

Majorca holidays...

Majorca has been the preferred Balearic destination for British holidaymakers for decades. And it's not exactly a closely secret guarded why. The largest of the Balearic Islands, Majorca is spectacular. From the lush forests and national parks of the north to the dazzling white sands of the south. From the hidden coves of the east to the Tramuntana Mountains that run down to the west coast, Majorca captures the beauty of the Balearics at its finest.

Every kind of Balearic beach break possible is available in Majorca. There are sweeping Blue-Flag beaches at places like Alcudia, famous party resorts like Magaluf, and activities, attractions, and water parks for all ages. Cala d'Or provides a touch of luxury for a Mediterranean getaway, while the cosmopolitan, historic capital, Palma, is a highlight of any Majorca holiday.

Ibiza holidays...

Ibiza is the place to go to party on in the Balearics. The nightlife capital of the Mediterranean, it's one of the world's premier clubbing destinations. Millions of revellers come to the island each year to enjoy the hedonistic atmosphere, top international DJs and dance floors of Ibiza Town and San Antonio. None ever leave disappointed.

Away from the clubs, Ibiza is blissfully beautiful and surprisingly tranquil in many areas. It enjoys rolling pine forests, perfect sandy beaches, olive groves, Unesco-listed attractions and clear, warm and gentle Balearic waters. Families and couples will enjoy chilled-out resorts such as Es Cana and cosmopolitan Santa Eulalia. The latter is renowned for its exquisite restaurants.

Menorca holidays...

Menorca is the quaintest, quietest and least visited of the Balearic Islands. For many people it's the most scenic - which is really saying something. With bags of charm, it balances traditional island life with all the benefits of modern beach resorts. It is a lovely setting for a relaxing and revitalising holiday in the Balearic Islands. There are more sandy beaches here than in both Ibiza and Majorca, and they are postcard-perfect.

The sweeping bays of Cala Galdana and Arenal D'en Castell enjoy a slow-paced beach setting. Cala 'n Forcat and Cala 'n Bosch are massively popular among families and offer plenty of things to do for all ages. The picturesque capital, Mahon, with its historic attractions and lovely harbour is well worth a visit.
