Baggage & Packing
The maximum allowance for baggage is printed on your ticket and is usually 20kg. Airlines will refuse to take any single item of baggage weighing more than 30kg. Infants aged under two on date of return are not entitled to a baggage allowance. The allowance for hand luggage is 5kg per customer, and your bag must be of a size to fit comfortably in an overhead locker. Please bear this in mind when selecting your hand luggage. If you exceed your luggage allowance you are likely to be charged extra by the airline for the excess baggage or you may be required to leave some things behind. Outside of your baggage allowance, certain airlines may charge for the carriage of 'out size' items such as bicycles, surfboards, etc. These charges may only be realized on the return leg of your journey.
Please ensure your luggage is in good condition and can withstand any bad weather experienced, this can particularly happen outside the main summer months. In the event of a delay, remember to pack everything you may need in your hand luggage. Don't pack the following items in your hold luggage:
- Passports
- Visa documentation
- Vaccination certificates
- Holiday invoices
- Flight tickets
- Insurance certificates
- Travelers cheques
- Driving licence
- Medication
- Uncooked food
- Baby food and changing equipment
You are not permitted to carry any electrical items in your hold luggage. These should be packed in your hand luggage, and include the following:
- hairdryers
- alarm clocks
- photographic equipment
- electrical games
