Booking Your Holiday
Booking with Thomas Cook is easy. You can book direct with us online or by phone. Alternatively
your local travel agent offers a free service and will be pleased to make your reservation and
give any general advice you may need. He or she can key directly into our computerised
reservations system, check availability and book your chosen holiday or your agent can ring our
reservations department and make the booking over the telephone.
Whichever method you choose, when you are ready to confirm your booking you must pay the
deposit, currently €50 per person or full payment if booking within eight weeks of departure
and the first named person on the booking signs our booking form. Subject to availability we
will confirm your booking as set out in our booking conditions, please read these carefully
before booking. Once your booking has been accepted, we will issue a confirmation invoice.
Please check this invoice carefully as soon as you receive it and advise us immediately if any
of the details appear to be incorrect, as it may not be possible to change them at a later
date. We are open for reservations: Mon-Fri 0900-1800, Sat 1000-1600.
Local Conditions
Development of hotels and resort areas is continuing in all countries, all the time. It is
possible that there may be building work in the vicinity of your holiday accommodation, or in
the resort area. As is the custom, work may start early in the day and at any time of the year.
Unfortunately, it is not always possible to foresee the nature and extent of such work, so
please bear with us over these problems, as after all they are being done for the ultimate
benefit of holidaymakers. We will contact you if, in our opinion, work is likely to disturb
your stay.
Ramadan
During ramadan, most tourist facilities in Tunisia and Egypt should be unaffected though
some banks and shopping hours may change.
Minimum Numbers
The holidays we feature are subject to a minimum number of persons being required for the
holiday to proceed. In the event that this minimum number is unlikely to be achieved we will
inform you immediately and accordingly reserve the right to cancel your holiday and refund all
monies paid.
Vegetarians
Vegetarians traveling to Tunisia, Morocco or Turkey, should be prepared to make allowances
for the fact that vegetarianism is somewhat alien to the local culture. Consequently, meal
choices for strict vegetarians can, on occasion, be limited or repetitive. We cannot accept
requests for vegetarian meals on flights if notified to us less than one week before
departure.
Smoking
Due to the increased move towards smoking bans in public areas, it is not uncommon to find
smoking restrictions in operation at some hotels, bars, restaurants and airports.
Your Protection
Your Financial Security
We hold Tour Operators licence No. TO 165 issued by the Commission for Aviation Regulation
and as a requirement we have arranged an approved secured bond. This means that when you book a
holiday with us you can be entirely confident that any money you have paid to us is
secured.
Data Protection Acts 1988 & 2003
To comply with the Data Protection Act we would like to advise you that in order to provide
you with the products or services you require, the personal information you supply to us will
be passed to relevant trusted partners or suppliers. This may involve sending your details to
countries that do not have an equal level of privacy legislation to that in Ireland. Your
details may also be used for improving our customer service, analysis and occasionally, for the
prevention of crime. We may also occasionally contact you by post or telephone to update you
about great offers, products and services from Thomas Cook group companies and carefully
selected third parties. Should you not wish to receive such information, please advise one of
our sales consultants or make the appropriate opt out choices on the website when you
book.
A copy of your personal information held by us can be provided on request. You have the right
to have any inaccurate personal information rectified or erased.
