Childrens Conditions And Services

No matter where you are heading on your holiday, if you are going with the family you need to be aware of any specific conditions that apply to the children in your group. We have that information here, as well as some great offers and available activities for kids to enjoy.

Kids Clubs

Kids Club

Property-run kids clubs
Some hotels and apartments operate their own kids club programme on site. These clubs are NOT organised by Thomas Cook, but are run by the owner of the individual complex. Some of the properties may operate a limited kids club, with restricted times or on specific days, and some may also be payable locally. Many of the clubs may operate in high season only and will be dependent on numbers. Minimum/maximum ages can vary from club to club. Please note that these clubs operate at the discretion of the owner and as a result the operation of the clubs could change without notice.

Dizzy and Shades Children's Club
The Dizzy and Shades clubs are free and subject to availability and numbers. Both clubs are supervised by our children’s representatives who have been carefully chosen for their enthusiasm and commitment. Children who attend either club will receive a fun pack. Some activities may carry a small charge and are subject to availability of the facilities and equipment.

Passports For Children

UK Passport

Children aged 16 years and over on the date of return travel require their own passport. Children who are included on a parent's passport issued before 01 October 2004 may continue to travel to countries featured in our programme up to their 16th birthday along with that parent, provided that passport is still valid. Should a parent renew a passport, the child(ren) originally on that passport will require their own passport. For further information please log onto www.foreignaffairs. gov.ie/services/passports. Passport application forms are available at all Garda Stations and Post Offices displaying the 'Passport Express Service' sign. Passport Express Service guarantees a 10 working day return service for a small additional fee. The passport office information line is 1890 426 800.
All passengers including children travelling to Bulgaria must have their own passports.

Child Prices & Free Child Places

Baby at Check In

- Children receiving a free child price or a reduced price must share accommodation with two Full Fare Paying Passengers. Children receiving a free child place or reduced price, will be charged flight, fuel and optional accommodation supplements as applicable.
- Free child places are limited to the first child on each booking.
- The number of free places is limited on each flight so it is possible that a hotel may in fact never have any free children in it if all the flight places have been used for different hotels.
- Free child places cannot be combined with any adult free places.
- Infants under two years travel for €30 on an adult's lap with a lap strap. Any services provided by hotels or apartments are to be paid locally e.g. cots/food etc.
- The infant and child reduction age limits apply to the child's age at the date of RETURN travel.
- Any free children taking an optional board supplement offer must pay the board supplement in full, but they are NOT classified as a paying passenger.
- All adults and children must pay for any holiday insurance.
- Deposits are payable by all adults and children even if they have a free place. The total paid will be deducted from your account.
- Children with a free or reduced price place DO NOT COUNT towards apartment occupancy, as the share price is based on full fare paying passengers. For the third child sharing the same accommodation unit, child reductions do not apply.
- When all the free child places have been taken on a flight, the first child will pay a child price.
- All offers are subject to availability.
- Free child places are at selected properties on selected dates from selected departure airports.
