Health:
If you, at the time of taking out this policy, have an existing medical condition for which you receive continuing treatment, take medication, are undergoing investigation or if you have ever been diagnosed as having cancer, NO COVER WILL BE PROVIDED by this policy for such medical conditions, UNLESS
1. You contact the medical pre screening line on 1800 882 892
2. You receive approval of cover for such medical condition(s) for your planned trip and accept any special terms provided in respect of your existing medical condition(s).

Please note: If hypertension (raised blood pressure) is the only medical condition from which you suffer, it will not be considered as an existing medical condition for the purpose of this policy and therefore it will not be necessary to contact the pre-screening line.

Policy document
You should read the document carefully. It gives you full details of what is and what is not covered and the conditions of the cover. Cover will change from policy to policy and insurer to insurer.

Conditions and exclusions
The insurance is subject to the Conditions and Exclusions shown in the policy document. General Exclusions and Policy Conditions apply to all sections of cover. There are also specific exclusions which apply to specific sections of cover. These conditions and exclusions are clearly set out in the policy document.

Hazardous holiday activities
Your insurance policy document lists certain sports and activities that are not covered. If any activity is not listed then cover is provided for that activity if undertaken during your trip.

Policy limits
Most sections of your policy have limits on the amount that will be paid under that section. Some sections also include other specific limits, for example for any one item, pair or set or for valuables in total. You should check your policy if you are going to take expensive items with you.

Policy excesses
Under some sections of the Standard and Gold cover, you will have to pay an excess. This means that you will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim. The amount you have to pay is the excess.

Reasonable care
You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property.

Complaints
Your insurance policy has in it a complaints procedure which tells you what steps you can take if you want to make a complaint.

Cooling off period
Your policy contains a 'cooling-off' period of 14 days during which you can return the policy and get a refund, if you have a justifiable reason for being dissatisfied with the cover it provides.

Law
Unless specifically agreed this insurance shall be subject to Irish law.

Other important benefits
Subject to exclusions:
24-hour repatriation service / Redundancy cover / Water sports cover / Delayed baggage.
The full range of exclusions are detailed in the policy which will be sent to you with your Booking Confirmation Invoice. Premium refund cannot be allowed after confirmation of the holiday booking.
PLEASE NOTE: All claims should be made to The Claims Office. For full details please see your policy wording.

Warranty
The Insured person warrants that at time of effecting this insurance;-
(a) No circumstances are known that are likely to lead to cancellation or curtailment of the holiday (e.g. the known health condition of a close relative).
(b) The Insured person has disclosed all material facts concerning this insurance to the Insurer.
(c) No travel will be undertaken against a medical practitioner's advice.

What to do in case of a medical emergency
If you have the misfortune to have an accident or suffer from illness while on your holiday a 24-hour assistance service is provided through International Medical Rescue, a major international assistance company. International Medical Rescue can be contacted on 00 44 845 604 7942. An experienced assistance co-ordinator will deal with you and will make sure that, if necessary, hospitals will be contacted (and any necessary fees guaranteed), medical advisors consulted and, if needed, repatriation to the Republic of Ireland or UK will be arranged.
